Cycle the Baray

From USD US$55.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Product code: CWBSR

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take the quietest route using back roads and paths to reach the entrance to the Baray.   The West Baray is an ancient hand dug water reservoir, built in the 11th century and still used today.  This is one of the most important reservoirs built at the height of the ancient Angkorian civilisation.

We cycle a lap of the Baray riding along the walls of this ancient reservoir,  along the way we take a break to relax in a hammock overlooking the water. Our final stop is a visit to the beautiful Svay Romeat Pagoda adorned with incredible hand painted stories of buddhist traditions and beliefs.

Throughout the day your guide will share information on the incredible history of the Baray and how it continues to be used today.
